Halifax Pop
Last week marked the 19th annual Halifax Pop Explosion music festival and yours truly was there to enjoy every minute of it. I love music festivals, especially in other cities and Halifax sure knows how to throw a killer one! 150 bands, 20 venues, 5 days and 1 best friend! I met a ton of great new music friends and contacts, saw some incredible shows and ate lobster every chance I could…how can you get better than that?
A few highlights of the festival: Bonjay at the Seahorse, Timber Timbre at St. Matthew’s church, Ben Caplan’s amazing 5 hour back yard kegger with tunes, Carmen Townsend’s cover of Sabotage, San Fran’s Thee Oh Sees, the never disappointing Plants and Animals, new friends Acres Of Lions and more beer more beer more beer more beeeer than I’ve had…..well ever. Thanks Halifax for showing the gal a great time, see you next year!
